Considering the sweeping changes in the field of electrical, communication and information technology, UAE Society has a significant role to help practicing engineers fight obsolescence and assist them to stay ahead of the technology. The Section intends to plan several programmes in the coming years to serve the need and interests of the members.

The idea of establishing a society of engineers began to shape. The founders held a series of meetings to discuss. Once the society had been formally registered, the interim management board began to contact all the national engineers in the country, in preparation for the holding of the general assembly's first constituent meeting.

The society provides an atmosphere that is conducive to its members meeting and exchanging views on the subject of engineering. The society provides engineering expertise as a tool of arbitration.
